Vice President, Technology & Digital Strategy

ABOUT THE ROLE Shatterproof is a national nonprofit dedicated to ending addiction as a defining life experience. As the organization enters a period of rapid growth and transformation, the Vice President of Technology & Digital Strategy will shape the future of the organization’s technology landscape. Reporting to the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer, you will lead a multidisciplinary team that spans enterprise technology, digital operations, data science, AI, and product management. Your vision will guide the development of systems that support fundraising, advocacy, program delivery, and employee experience while ensuring security, resilience, and scalability. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will develop and execute a multi‑year enterprise technology strategy that aligns with Shatterproof’s mission and growth priorities. You will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology investments, emerging trends, and risk management. You will lead the organization’s AI strategy, establishing governance, risk controls, and responsible‑use standards, and will identify high‑impact use cases across fundraising, operations, and program delivery. You will oversee IT operations for a distributed workforce, ensuring secure onboarding, device provisioning, and support for Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools. You will drive enterprise cybersecurity strategy, including risk assessments, incident response, and business continuity planning. You will guide the strategy, governance, and analytics of Shatterproof’s website, fundraising technology, and digital platforms, ensuring accessibility, performance, and integration with core systems. Finally, you will manage relationships with managed service providers, vendors, and implementation partners, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and scalability. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You bring at least 10 years of progressive technology leadership experience in a fast‑moving nonprofit or high‑growth tech environment, with a proven track record of building and scaling enterprise technology functions. You have deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data governance, and a strong understanding of AI ethics and responsible deployment. You are a strategic thinker who can translate mission goals into technology roadmaps, and you possess excellent stakeholder‑management skills, able to influence across departments and drive cross‑functional collaboration. Your communication style is clear, concise, and persuasive, and you thrive in an autonomous, results‑driven culture that values innovation, resilience, and continuous improvement. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (CISM, CISSP, PMP) is highly desirable.
