Kitchen Porter

ABOUT THE ROLE Scotsman Hospitality is Scotland’s largest and most diverse hospitality group, operating over 40 venues across the country. We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to support our culinary teams and help maintain the high standards our guests expect. In this role you will be the backbone of the kitchen, ensuring that chefs have everything they need to deliver exceptional food experiences. Your work will directly influence the efficiency, hygiene, and overall success of our kitchen operations. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will assist chefs with prep work, chopping, and basic cooking tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for service. You will maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, including washing dishes, wiping surfaces, and disposing of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations. You will monitor storage areas, rotate stock, and ensure produce is stored at the correct temperatures. You will support the team during busy periods, moving items between stations and keeping the kitchen organized. You will report any equipment issues or safety concerns to the kitchen manager promptly. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You have experience in a similar role or a strong interest in pursuing a culinary career, with a proven ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. You possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards. You are a team player who thrives in a social, collaborative setting and can communicate clearly with chefs and kitchen staff. You are flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
