Vice President of Operations

ABOUT THE ROLE Avery Dennison Corporation is a global materials science and digital identification solutions company, making possible products and solutions that help advance the industries we serve. We are seeking a Vice President of Operations to join the Vestcom leadership team, providing strategic direction and vision to the Operations functions and customer experience teams. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Vice President of Operations, you will drive excellence across the operations organization with a focus on on-time delivery of high-quality products. You will support and drive actions for a culture of safety and employee engagement. Your key areas of responsibility will include: - Representing the Operations, Supply Chain, Machine group, and Customer Experience functions on the Vestcom Leadership team - Ensuring on-time and in-full delivery, year-to-year improvement of business operations results, including financial, quality, service, safety, employee engagement, inventory, and organizational development - Leading the function to meet or exceed all financial and operational goals and KPIs - Implementing world-class practices to drive capabilities to world-class levels - Maintaining organizational focus on environmental, health, and safety - Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with inside and outside organizations to bring leading-edge improvements into our manufacturing processes - Supporting innovation through technology, service, and culture - Maintaining a culture that embraces a safety-first mentality with employee engagement, trust, teamwork, and respect - Developing an operating model to meet the needs of the business, developing successors, and implementing succession plans - Conducting regular business reviews, working with business and financial management to develop, evaluate, and monitor action plans that lead to profitable growth - Participating in, coordinating, and aligning the division's strategic plan and annual plan process, establishing and managing targets for key financial metrics - Driving consistent and improved employee engagement across Vestcom Service bureaus WHAT YOU'LL NEED - 12+ years of Operations experience, including site management and management of multi-functional and organizational initiatives - A four-year college degree in Business Administration or a related degree; a Master's degree is preferred - P&L management experience - Experience in planning and forecasting - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to hold teams accountable for performance - Solid leadership skills, with a proven track record of motivating and inspiring a workforce - Demonstrated planning, organizing, project management, and strategy implementation skills, including capital and expense budgeting - Ability to lead through Avery Dennison Values - Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills - Ability to travel around 50% of the time WHY REMOTE This role is a remote opportunity, allowing you to work from anywhere while still being part of a dynamic and innovative team.
