ABOUT THE ROLE Pete’s Frootique is a leading specialty grocery destination that prides itself on delivering the freshest, highest‑quality produce and fine foods to customers across the region. Our Receiving team is the backbone of the store’s operations, ensuring that every product arrives on time, meets our strict quality standards, and is accurately logged into our inventory system. The Receiver position is a dynamic, fast‑paced role that blends physical activity with meticulous data management and cross‑department collaboration. As a remote Receiver, you will serve as the critical link between suppliers, the warehouse, and the front‑of‑house team, maintaining the flow of goods that keeps our shelves stocked and our customers satisfied. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will receive and inspect all incoming deliveries, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders and ensuring compliance with safety and freshness guidelines. Using our inventory management software, you will update stock levels in real time, flag discrepancies, and coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues. You will organize and store products efficiently, rotating inventory to maintain freshness and minimize waste. During slower periods, you will support the Produce Department by assisting with inventory forecasting, ordering, and quality checks. You will collaborate closely with the Store Manager, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams to align stock availability with sales demand. Your proactive communication will help prevent stockouts and ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You have a strong background in inventory management or supply‑chain operations, ideally within a retail or food‑service environment. Proficiency with inventory software, spreadsheets, and data entry is essential. You possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. You are a team player who communicates clearly and can adapt to changing priorities. You are physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and can stand for extended periods while performing inspections and data updates. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required, as you will occasionally need to coordinate delivery schedules.
