ABOUT THE ROLE
Wood is a global leader in consulting, engineering and operations for the energy and materials sectors. As a Journeyman I P, you will be an integral part of our Energy & Materials pillar, contributing to projects that span the full asset lifecycle. Your expertise will help deliver safe, predictable outcomes while supporting our clients’ transition to a lower‑carbon future. In this role you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, applying hands‑on skills and technical knowledge to ensure projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety and performance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will execute field tasks that include installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of critical infrastructure components across a range of energy projects. You will read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and safety documentation to guide your work and ensure compliance with industry regulations. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers and other trades to coordinate schedules, resolve technical issues and keep projects on track. You will conduct inspections and quality checks, documenting results and recommending corrective actions. You will support the continuous improvement of processes by sharing lessons learned and contributing to best‑practice development. You will maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You have a minimum of three to five years of hands‑on experience in a relevant field such as electrical, mechanical or civil construction within the energy sector. You possess a strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations and quality control procedures. You can read and interpret complex technical drawings, specifications and safety documents. You have excellent problem‑solving skills, able to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions. You communicate clearly in both written and verbal form, and you thrive in collaborative, cross‑functional teams. You are self‑motivated, reliable and able to manage your workload independently while meeting project deadlines.
