Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Treasury Associate at Carta, you will play a vital role in supporting the Fund Administration business, working closely with a global FA Treasury team to own daily operational processes and drive improvements that enhance the overall client experience. You will be responsible for executing payments and managing bank administration tasks, collaborating cross-functionally to identify inefficiencies, and contributing to scalable solutions. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Treasury Associate, your key responsibilities will include: - Owning end-to-end payment execution workflows, including initiating and reviewing ACH / Wire and FX payments for client approval - Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, and Operations to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and influence product roadmaps - Communicating with clients and external stakeholders to address inquiries and provide a high-quality support experience - Leading or supporting the opening and setup of new client bank accounts in partnership with Onboarding and Implementation teams - Establishing and maintaining bank connectivity, ensuring transactions are accurately uploaded to the Carta platform - Proactively identifying operational gaps, risks, and supporting the development of scalable solutions - Leveraging AI-powered tools to streamline payment processing, exception triage, and reporting, and actively contributing to building scalable AI workflows for the team - Contributing to the creation and maintenance of internal reporting, documentation, playbooks, and training resources - Supporting data analysis and reporting needs using Excel, Metabase, Looker, and other internal data tools - Verifying vendor/payee wire instructions, collecting necessary documentation (e.g., W-9s), and ensuring compliance with internal controls WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - 2-5 years of experience in Treasury, banking operations, or payment processing, with an interest in growing into more strategic or technical roles - Strong attention to detail and a high degree of ownership over assigned workflows - Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact directly with clients and cross-functional stakeholders - Proficiency in Excel and adaptability to learning tools like Looker, Salesforce, or other internal platforms - Comfort navigating ambiguity, asking thoughtful questions, and proposing ideas for process improvement - Experience creating or improving operational workflows and processes in fast-paced environments - Intellectual curiosity with a strong appetite for continuous learning and growth - Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a natural curiosity and solution-oriented approach - Interest in building a long-term career in Treasury, Fund Administration, or fintech operations - Comfort using or learning AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini) to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency - Understanding of Fund Administration is a plus WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere and be part of a global team that is shaping the future of private market infrastructure.
