ABOUT THE ROLE LaunchDarkly is seeking a seasoned Tenant Improvement Project Manager to lead our workplace buildout and improvement projects from inception to completion. This critical role is responsible for the successful execution of high-impact office projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with business requirements. As a key partner to internal stakeholders and external vendors, you will navigate the complexities of construction and facilities projects to deliver workspaces that support our team's evolving needs. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Tenant Improvement Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing tenant improvement projects and related workplace buildout activities in Oakland from early planning through completion. This includes: - Managing project scope, schedule, and budget, as well as coordinating with vendors and stakeholders - Coordinating with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and document project plans - Partnering with landlords, architects, contractors, consultants, and other vendors to support design review, construction planning, permitting coordination, and issue resolution - Maintaining project documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, action logs, risk and issue trackers, change requests, and status updates - Monitoring project milestones, dependencies, and risks, and recommending practical solutions when priorities, timelines, or site conditions change - Tracking project costs against approved budgets and supporting invoice review and purchase coordination - Supporting site readiness and operational continuity by coordinating with workplace, IT, security, and other internal partners - Leading regular project meetings with internal and external partners and driving accountability for commitments and deadlines - Applying a low-ego, collaborative approach that helps teams work through ambiguity and deliver shared outcomes WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - Experience managing commercial tenant improvement, workplace construction, facilities capital projects, or similar buildout projects with responsibility for coordination across scope, schedule, budget, vendors, and stakeholders - Demonstrated ability to run projects independently, organize multiple workstreams, and deliver high-quality work with limited day-to-day oversight - Ability to assess project issues, evaluate identifiable factors, and adapt plans or approaches to resolve varied project challenges - Experience working with cross-functional partners and external vendors, including communicating project updates, clarifying tradeoffs, and gaining alignment from stakeholders who may have different priorities - Working knowledge of construction project processes such as budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, design review, change management, permits, and punch lists WHY REMOTE As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere while still being an integral part of our team.
