Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Systems Department, you will be responsible for supporting the installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems, including intruder alarms, card access systems, CCTV, and commercial fire systems. Your primary goal will be to deliver high-quality technical work, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure projects and service requirements are completed safely, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of our clients. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Technician, you will work across the full project lifecycle, from cable installation and device deployment through to control panel termination, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and client handover. Your responsibilities will include: - Installing electronic security systems and associated equipment in residential and commercial environments - Running and terminating cables in accordance with system and project requirements - Executing control panel terminations and associated wiring - Installing security devices, sensors, readers, cameras, panels, and other system components - Establishing Central Station connections and completing system commissioning - Testing systems to ensure correct operation and compliance with project specifications - Supporting client handovers and providing system guidance where required - Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance on security systems - Diagnosing and troubleshooting system faults and technical issues - Carrying out repairs and corrective works as required - Maintaining accurate records of service activities, faults, repairs, and system performance - Responding professionally and efficiently to client service requirements - Assisting the Sales and Systems teams with the design, sourcing, ordering, installation, and commissioning of electronic security projects - Supporting related electrical, communications, audio-visual, security lighting, telephone, cabling, and home automation projects WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will require: - Experience in electronic security systems, electrical work, telecommunications, structured cabling, or a related technical field - Strong practical skills in cable installation, termination, and equipment deployment - Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records WHY REMOTE As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere and enjoy a better work-life balance.
