Team Lead, CDD Risk (Onboarding)

WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Team Lead, CDD Risk (Onboarding), your primary responsibilities will include: - Leading a team responsible for the onboarding and risk assessments of new and existing clients, ensuring compliance and handling escalations and frictions efficiently and effectively - Conducting risk assessments towards onboarding of clients, both new and existing, in accordance with regulations and internal KYC procedures - Driving process improvements, providing insights and guidance towards these initiatives - Evaluating existing procedures and processes developed internally, challenging their efficacy to optimize end-to-end our merchant's onboarding processes - Providing advice and assistance to Commercial and product teams to increase customer satisfaction and improve automation rates - Ensuring continuous team growth and competence improvements WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - 10+ years of proven experience in the risk, operations, or compliance industry - A firm grasp and understanding of AML, KYC, PCI, Scheme rules, and internal controls - Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a focus on attention to detail - Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to grow individual contributors ranging from juniors to seniors - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on analytical and data-driven decision making - Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on efficiency and operational excellence - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English required (other Asian languages, such as Japanese or Mandarin, at a business level competency are a strong plus) WHY REMOTE This role is based out of our Bengaluru office, and we value in-person collaboration.
