Stripe
Strategic Business Performance, Central Strategy & Operations
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Stripe is building the world’s most powerful financial infrastructure, empowering millions of businesses to accept payments, grow revenue, and launch new products. The Strategic Business Performance (SBP) team sits at the heart of Central Strategy & Operations, translating corporate strategy into measurable outcomes and ensuring the company hits its most critical goals. As a senior product strategist‑operator, you will own the signals that drive performance, lead cross‑functional interventions, and shape the way leadership thinks about growth and risk. Your work will directly influence product roadmaps, risk policies, and marketing initiatives, making you a key partner across the organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the “Signal” by defining and maintaining high‑impact metrics, creating a morning‑read cadence that drives rapid decision‑making.
- Lead surge projects to diagnose and unblock critical goals at risk, staying in the arena until measurable change occurs.
- Translate long‑horizon corporate theses into actionable, in‑year workstreams that cut across product, risk, and marketing.
- Synthesize complex data into concise, executive‑ready materials that enable the CEO, COO, and other leaders to act decisively.
- Pressure‑test assumptions with Corporate Strategy and Product teams, uncovering gaps between market forces and internal execution.
- Facilitate senior‑level conversations, guiding stakeholders toward data‑driven solutions and aligning on priorities.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 12+ years of experience in product analytics, strategy, or business performance at high‑growth tech companies.
- Proven track record of owning P&L or a specific business outcome and driving growth through analytical insight and execution.
- Deep curiosity about business models, customer behavior, and data signals, with the ability to uncover novel insights.
- Expertise in applying AI tools to enhance decision‑making and operational efficiency without compromising rigor.
- Strong product sense and understanding of how software products are built and scaled.
- Experience navigating ambiguous, cross‑functional problems and leading high‑stakes interventions with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to build trust and partner with senior leaders and CXOs, facilitating impactful conversations.
- Technical proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, enabling independent deep dives into complex datasets.
- Prior experience with fintech products or complex financial systems is a plus.
