Strategic Account Executive - Retail & Media

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Strategic Account Executive for Retail & Media at GitLab, you will play a key role in expanding the company's presence in France by establishing trusted relationships with senior leaders at large organizations in the Media & Retail sectors. You will use a consultative sales approach to connect customer business needs with GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform, helping teams improve developer productivity, reduce security and compliance risk, and accelerate software delivery. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for leading strategic account activity for large prospects and customers, developing opportunities within enterprise accounts, creating account plans and customer proposals, and coordinating with pre-sales, post-sales, and support teams to support successful product rollout and customer adoption. You will also generate qualified pipeline in partnership with strategic channel partners, contribute customer feedback and product ideas, prepare activity and forecast reports, and collaborate with marketing, account teams, product managers, and technical teams to share lessons learned and communicate customer needs. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need experience selling into large organizations and navigating complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders. You will also need the ability to build and manage executive-level customer relationships with a high degree of ownership and follow-through. Additionally, you will require skill in consultative selling, including shaping proposals, presentations, and formal quotes around customer business needs, as well as strength in negotiation, presentation, and closing deals.
