Staff Salesforce Architect

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Staff Salesforce Architect to join Marqeta's Business Systems team, a high-impact group responsible for the internal Salesforce platform for Go-To-Market, Product Support, and Legal, Risk & Compliance. As a Staff Salesforce Architect, you will be the technical backbone of the team, owning architecture decisions, tradeoffs, and their consequences. This is a heavily hands-on lead individual contributor role, requiring a strong technical background and experience in Salesforce architecture. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Staff Salesforce Architect, you will set the architectural direction for our Salesforce platform, conduct code reviews, lead architecture and design sessions, and build and maintain the technical backlog. You will also be responsible for: * Designing, building, testing, and deploying solutions in an Agile framework using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, REST/SOAP APIs, and platform events * Leading the technical design and implementation of Agentforce and AI-powered automation across GTM, customer support, and compliance workflows * Designing and building integrations with internal and external systems, including Ironclad, Snowflake, and other GTM/RevOps tooling * Maintaining high sprint velocity while upholding code quality and documentation standards * Owning hands-on remediation of Salesforce security findings and implementing platform hardening measures WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: * 10+ years of Salesforce technical experience spanning development, configuration, and architecture, including at least 2 years functioning in an actual Architect capacity * Deep hands-on experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud * Strong technical background and experience in Salesforce architecture * Excellent communication and collaboration skills WHY REMOTE Marqeta is a Flexible First company, and this role can be performed remotely in the United States.
