ABOUT THE ROLE Grafana Labs is building the world’s most trusted open observability platform. As a Staff Product Manager for the OpenTelemetry Experience, you will shape the journey that turns raw telemetry into actionable insight for millions of users worldwide. You will own the end‑to‑end experience from the first line of code to the dashboards that drive business decisions, ensuring that every OpenTelemetry workload reaches Grafana Cloud with the right context, quality, and ease of use. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, design, and go‑to‑market, driving a coherent, scalable experience across SDKs, collectors, and coding agents while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across the globe. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will define and execute a product roadmap that unifies SDK onboarding, automatic instrumentation, and client‑side collector deployment, delivering a seamless setup flow for developers and agents alike. You will partner with engineering and UX to design validation signals that let users and agents confirm telemetry health and correct attribution. You will lead the creation of machine‑readable guidance that helps teams choose the optimal instrumentation path, reducing failure points and accelerating time to value. You will work closely with Application Observability, Kubernetes Monitoring, and Infrastructure Observability groups to ensure a consistent experience from data ingestion to activation of Grafana Cloud solutions. You will gather and prioritize customer feedback, translate it into actionable stories, and advocate for the user perspective across all stakeholders. You will measure success through telemetry quality metrics, adoption rates, and customer satisfaction, iterating rapidly to improve the end‑to‑end journey. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You have a proven track record as a senior product manager in the observability or cloud infrastructure space, with deep understanding of OpenTelemetry, SDKs, collectors, and automatic instrumentation technologies. You can translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements and user stories, and you thrive in a distributed, asynchronous environment. You possess strong analytical skills, using data to drive decisions and validate impact. You are comfortable engaging with engineering, design, and marketing teams, and you have a history of delivering high‑impact products that scale globally. You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, and you bring at least seven years of product management experience, including leadership of cross‑functional initiatives.
