Staff Product Manager, OpenTelemetry | Spain | Remote

ABOUT THE ROLE Grafana Labs is building the world’s most trusted observability platform, and the Staff Product Manager for OpenTelemetry Experience will lead the vision and execution that makes Grafana Cloud the default destination for telemetry data. Based in Spain but fully remote, you will own the end‑to‑end journey from the moment a developer or a coding agent decides to instrument a workload to the moment that data is actionable inside Grafana Cloud. Your work will shape how teams choose between SDKs, automatic instrumentation, and client‑side collectors, and how they troubleshoot and validate telemetry quality. By ensuring a coherent, low‑friction experience across all instrumentation paths, you will directly influence the adoption and reliability of Grafana Cloud for thousands of customers worldwide. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Define and own the product roadmap for OpenTelemetry onboarding, configuration, and validation across SDKs, automatic instrumentation, and collectors. - Partner with Engineering, Design, UX, and Go‑to‑Market teams to translate customer insights into clear, actionable features that reduce setup friction and failure points. - Design machine‑readable guidance and validation signals that enable both developers and coding agents to choose, configure, and verify instrumentation safely. - Champion telemetry health metrics, ensuring that data arrives with the correct context, structure, and attribution required for meaningful observability outcomes. - Work closely with Application Observability, Kubernetes Monitoring, Infrastructure Observability, and Drilldown Apps groups to align the end‑to‑end customer journey from first data point to first value. - Own cross‑product success metrics, iterate on product decisions based on data, and communicate progress and priorities to stakeholders across the organization. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a staff‑level or senior product role within the observability, monitoring, or cloud infrastructure space. - Deep understanding of OpenTelemetry standards, SDKs, collectors, and automatic instrumentation technologies such as Beyla and SDK injection. - Proven track record of delivering complex, multi‑team product initiatives that span engineering, design, and go‑to‑market functions. - Strong analytical skills and a data‑driven approach to prioritization, with experience defining and measuring telemetry health and adoption metrics. - Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish is a plus. - Comfortable working in a fully distributed, asynchronous environment and able to build trust and alignment across globally dispersed teams.
