Sr. Payroll Analyst

As a Senior Payroll Analyst at Amplitude, you will play a critical role in ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, every time. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing across the US and Canada, including semi-monthly and bi-weekly cycles. You will own payroll system operations in Workday, manage equity compensation payroll events, support month-end close and accounting activities, and ensure compliance across jurisdictions. You will also drive process improvements and automation, support audits and SOX compliance efforts, and maintain documentation. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need 5+ years of hands-on experience managing payroll in Workday, with Workday Payroll as the primary system of record. You must have proven experience running full-cycle payroll for US (multi-state) and Canadian employees, a deep understanding of equity compensation payroll, and experience supporting month-end close. You should also have strong knowledge of US payroll tax laws (federal, state, and local), with working knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations.
