ABOUT THE ROLE Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our global finance team. As a trusted finance partner, you will support financial planning, reporting, and analysis for our global operations, leveraging AI tools to streamline finance processes and drive business growth. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will be responsible for: Acting as a trusted finance partner to business and functional leaders, providing timely reporting, dashboards, and visibility into operational spend. You will serve as the primary point of contact for financial analytics and ad-hoc requests. Delivering management reporting packages, business scorecards, and financial models for senior leadership. You will build and maintain dashboards using Tableau, Sigma, or similar tools, focusing on real-time reporting. Supporting rolling forecasts, annual budgeting, and monthly budget vs. actual analysis using Pigment. You will monitor KPIs, highlight trends, and deliver clear variance commentary. Owning month-end and quarter-end close activities, including expense accruals, journal entries, variance analysis, and supporting schedules. Leading the re-engineering of FP&A processes using AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and Gemini. You will propose and implement new tools, drive automation adoption across finance, and upskill teams on new ways of working. You will also use generative AI to accelerate variance commentary, financial narratives, and reporting outputs, validating AI-generated insights critically before presenting to leadership. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively. Experience with financial planning, reporting, and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Proficiency in using AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and Gemini, to streamline finance processes and drive business growth. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and finance teams.
