Specialist, Market Operations

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a highly motivated Specialist, Market Operations to join Coinbase's remote-first team. As a Specialist, you'll play a critical role in providing frontline operational support across two exchanges, the Coinbase Derivatives Exchange (CDE) and Coinbase International Exchange (INTX). This position requires a strong understanding of financial markets operations and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues independently. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Specialist, Market Operations, you'll be responsible for: - Providing real-time functional and technical support for electronic trading, clearing systems, and exchange applications across CDE and INTX. - Investigating and resolving customer inquiries related to exchange functionality, market events, connectivity, product schedules, and business technology. - Leading frontline support for internal and external investigations tied to exchange operations, including error trade analysis and resolution. - Coordinating with product and development teams to launch new products, implement platform updates, and execute deployment testing in pre-production environments. - Supporting onboarding and ongoing operational enablement of clients and vendors, including connectivity setup and issue triage. - Identifying and recommending process improvements that align with business growth objectives and strengthen exchange operational reliability. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you'll need: - A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a related technical field, with at least 1 year of experience in financial markets operations or a technical operations role. - Demonstrated product and operational knowledge of listed futures or options, including hands-on experience with error trade analysis and resolution. - Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues across trading and clearing platforms, communicating root cause and remediation to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience managing support across multiple channels (voice, email, chat) with documented ability to maintain quality under high-volume, time-sensitive conditions. - Familiarity with prediction markets, event contracts, FIX protocol, SQL, or CRM tools such as Salesforce and JIRA. - Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality. As a Specialist, Market Operations, you'll have the opportunity to work from anywhere while collaborating with the team through regular in-person working sessions called "surges." BENEFITS - Target annual base salary range: £81,630 - £90,700 GBP - Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, and vision)
