Senior Threat Intelligence Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a seasoned Senior Threat Intelligence Engineer to join our Security Operations team at GitLab. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in providing actionable intelligence that empowers us to make informed, proactive decisions about security. Your mission will be to stay ahead of threats by monitoring our unique threat landscape, leveraging your technical skills to identify credible threats to GitLab and the software supply chain. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Threat Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring the threat landscape, identifying and analyzing the risks most relevant to GitLab, and raising awareness through ad-hoc Flash Reports. You will also administer our Threat Intelligence Platform, build out our open source, proprietary, and internal intelligence collection pipeline, and support incident response through malware analysis and threat actor tracking. Additionally, you will collaborate on Purple Team Flash Operations, build meaningful relationships with industry peers, and write code to improve process efficiencies on the team. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need a proven track record of delivering actionable intelligence that has had a meaningful impact on the security of an organization. You should have experience working with a Threat Intelligence Platform, managing ingested and exported threat feeds, researching adversaries using OSINT and structured analytical techniques, and automating tasks by writing basic scripts/programs, preferably with Python. Excellent and professional communication skills are also essential, with the ability to articulate complex topics in a clear and concise manner.
