ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Specialist, Issue Management at Oscar is a key member of the Network Operations team, responsible for supporting the design, optimization, and implementation of processes and improvements to provider operations. This role involves day-to-day oversight of critical bottlenecks in Operations, implementation of lean and scalable tools, and representation of the team within the broader organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior Specialist, Issue Management, you will identify risks, respond to and resolve issues/errors/escalations through investigation, and inform insights for short/medium/long-term technology-enabled processes and solutions. You will also coordinate projects and processes to ensure key milestones and service levels are met, partner with leadership to strategize and implement arrangements to lower overall cost or improve outcomes, and support the management, stewardship, and analysis of data to support compliant and performant business operations.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will require 1+ years of professional experience in payer or provider operations, provider network management, healthcare operations, or a related field. You should also have experience using data and metrics to drive improvements, process improvement and workflow design, and developing and presenting information and recommendations to Senior Leadership. Bonus points will be given for experience in ACA marketplace, provider network, claims, healthcare quality, or provider data, management consulting, Continuous Process Improvement or Lean Six Sigma principles, project coordination or management in a matrixed organization, and RFP development and implementation of software or service solutions.
WHY REMOTE
This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in the Dallas, Texas area. While the role is fully remote, Oscar's approach to work may adapt over time, potentially involving a hybrid presence at the hub office associated with your metro area.
