ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Growth Platforms team at Lyft, where you will play a key role in driving business growth and empowering users to make the most effective use of our products and experiences. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team that is at the heart of our products and decision-making. WHAT YOU'LL DO Your primary responsibilities will include building systems that make our products and experiences more predictive, personalized, and engaging for both Drivers and Riders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient solutions that drive business growth and improve user satisfaction. You will also contribute to the development of our growth platforms, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and data analysts to identify opportunities and develop strategies to drive user engagement and retention. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing scalable and efficient systems. You will have a deep understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. You will also have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions. Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is required, as well as experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Google Cloud.
