Senior Product Manager - Identity and Access Management
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a customer-driven Senior Product Manager to own Starburst's identity and access management capabilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering product functionality that empowers customers to manage and enforce data access policies across human identities, machine principals, and agentic workloads.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior Product Manager at Starburst, you will be responsible for building and delivering on a roadmap that balances the needs of customers and internal teams with clear prioritization based on data-driven customer insights. You will collaborate closely with other product managers, engineering, and go-to-market teams to define the product vision, prioritize features, and guide execution.
Your primary focus will be on defining and owning the product strategy for Identity and Access Management (IAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and entitlements, covering both human identity and role-based access and machine/agent identity and access patterns. You will also partner with platform and security teams on the access audit trail and observability roadmap to support enterprise compliance and regulatory requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager, with a deep understanding of identity and access management concepts, including RBAC, ABAC, OAuth, OIDC, OPA, and SCIM, and how those apply in distributed data environments. You will also need experience working with or alongside InfoSec, compliance, or security teams to translate enterprise security requirements into product capabilities.
WHY REMOTE
This role is open to remote candidates in the US, with the option to travel up to 25% for purposes including new hire onboarding, team and department offsites, customer engagements, and other company events.

Starburst offers a comprehensive benefits package, including equity packages (ISOs) and access to a comprehensive benefits offering. The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $210,000 USD, with variable compensation, such as commission or bonus, included.
