Monzo
Senior Pricing Analyst, Savings
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Monzo is redefining banking for the modern world, and our savings product line is a key pillar of that transformation. As a Senior Pricing Analyst in Savings you will own the commercial performance of our savings offerings, turning data into actionable insights that shape pricing, acquisition, and retention strategies. Working closely with Finance, Treasury, Data Science and Product squads, you will drive decisions that directly impact deposit volumes, margin, and our competitive standing in the UK market. Your work will be highly visible, influencing the direction of the product portfolio and the overall growth trajectory of Monzo.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will monitor portfolio performance, tracking key metrics against commercial targets and diagnosing the drivers behind deposit movements. You will model pricing elasticity, acquisition, and retention data to optimise the trade‑off between volume and margin, ensuring sustainable growth. You will contribute to savings strategy by sizing and modelling the commercial impact of new initiatives, collaborating with Finance during planning cycles. You will build, maintain and enhance core pricing datasets and Looker dashboards, ensuring stakeholders have real‑time, accurate insights. You will lead competitor and macroeconomic analysis, monitoring Bank of England rate changes and competitor movements to recommend agile, market‑leading pricing shifts. Finally, you will translate complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives for senior stakeholders, driving consensus and action.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You bring at least five years of experience in pricing, portfolio management or commercial product management within UK retail banking, fintech or a fast‑paced consumer finance environment. You are highly analytical and hands‑on with data, comfortable using SQL, Python, Jupyter and Looker to uncover customer behaviour and drive commercial decisions. You have a proven track record of building and maintaining pricing models, dashboards and reporting pipelines that influence product strategy. You thrive in ambiguous, complex spaces and can translate intricate financial data into clear, compelling stories for non‑technical audiences. You are comfortable working in a product‑led, digital‑first environment where priorities shift quickly and you must deliver high‑impact results on time. You hold a strong understanding of UK banking regulations, deposit market dynamics and macroeconomic indicators that influence consumer savings behaviour.
WHY REMOTE
Monzo embraces a distributed, asynchronous culture that empowers teams to work when they are most productive. Remote work allows you to balance your personal and professional life while collaborating across time zones with colleagues in London, Berlin and beyond. Flexible hours and a focus on outcomes rather than presence mean you can align your schedule with your team and deliver high‑quality work without the constraints of a traditional office. The remote environment also provides access to a global talent pool, fostering diverse perspectives that enrich product innovation and customer experience.
BENEFITS
Competitive salary of £75,000‑£95,000 plus performance‑linked incentive awards. A comprehensive benefits package includes private medical insurance, a generous 26‑day holiday allowance plus bank holidays, and a £1,000 annual learning budget for books, courses and conferences. All employees receive a MacBook and, for fully remote workers, a home‑office stipend to create an optimal working environment. Additional perks include flexible working arrangements, a supportive culture that values diversity and inclusion, and access to a range of wellness and employee assistance programmes.
