Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Senior Manager, Business Development at GitLab, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and development in the EMEA region. You will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, and mentoring a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs), ensuring their success and driving pipeline and results. This is a 100% remote position, and you will report to the Director, Business Development (EMEA). WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Manager, Business Development, your key responsibilities will include: - Training and mentoring BDRs to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities - Providing coaching and feedback to BDRs in recurring weekly 1:1 meetings to improve their performance and abilities over time - Planning for the hiring and onboarding of new BDRs - Collaborating with the Events and Digital teams on field events and targeted ad and nurture campaigns - Working closely with the Sales and Sales Development Leadership teams to improve opportunity management and qualification processes - Identifying key company accounts to develop in collaboration with Sales, Senior SDR Manager/Director, and Regional Sales Directors - Developing effective messaging for outbound communications to assigned accounts in collaboration with Content, Marketing Program Managers, and Product Marketing WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - Excellent spoken and written English - At least two years of experience in Business Development Management - Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service for a technical product, with leadership experience highly preferred - Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce - Experience in sales operations and/or marketing automation software is a plus - Understanding of B2B software, Open Source software, and the developer product space is preferred - Passion for technology and a willingness to learn about GitLab and Git - Alignment with GitLab's values and a commitment to working in accordance with them WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK, Ireland, Germany, or the Netherlands.
