Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Vercel is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to partner with our Global and Administrative (G&A) organizations, including Finance, Legal, People, and Security & IT. As a trusted advisor to C-Suite leaders, you will play a critical role in building people strategies that drive effectiveness, grow talent, and sustain a high-performance culture as we scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior HRBP, you will be responsible for:
Strategic Partnership: Serve as the primary HR advisor to senior leaders across Finance, Legal, People, and Security & IT functions, translating business objectives into actionable people strategies, including organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development. You will advise on org structure, team effectiveness, and leadership development to support G&A scaling, and partner with executives on headcount planning and HC allocation to align talent resources with business priorities.
Talent & Performance: Drive talent review and talent development processes across supported organizations, coach and develop leaders at all levels, lead and support performance management cycles, and partner with Talent Acquisition to build thoughtful hiring strategies and ensure strong candidate experiences.
Culture & Employee Experience: Champion Vercel's culture and values, ensuring they're embedded in the day-to-day experience across G&A, identify and act on signals from engagement surveys, stay interviews, and team health check-ins, and design and facilitate team offsites, workshops, and other programming that foster connection and alignment.
Employee Relations & Compliance: Navigate complex employee relations matters with sound judgment, empathy, and confidentiality, ensure consistent and equitable application of HR policies, and partner with Legal on compliance, employment law guidance, and risk mitigation across global jurisdictions.
Operational Excellence: Analyze and interpret people data and trends to inform recommendations and drive continuous improvement, contribute to and improve core People programs, and collaborate across the broader People team on cross-functional initiatives and process improvements.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HRBP or HR generalist role supporting corporate / G&A functions
- Experience operating in a fast-scaling, global tech company, preferably a startup or high-growth background
- Demonstrated ability to build trust with senior executives and operate as a genuine business partner
- Deep expertise in organizational design, performance management, talent planning, and employee relations
- Strong analytical skills and outstanding communication, facilitation, and executive presence
- Experience with tools such as Workday, Greenhouse, and Notion is highly preferred
