ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Financial Systems Analyst at Datadog, you will play a key role in modernizing the finance organization through process automation, data analytics, and financial systems optimization. This role offers an opportunity to help shape how emerging technologies, including AI, transform finance operations while contributing to strategic decision-making across the business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior Financial Systems Analyst, you will partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and other finance stakeholders to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial processes and reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with finance stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data and automation initiatives.
- Building and maintaining dashboards and reporting tools that monitor financial and operational performance and support evolving business priorities.
- Automating recurring finance processes and enhancing data workflows using AI tools, data visualization platforms, and custom solutions.
- Supporting financial system implementations and upgrades through data migration, mapping, reporting integration, testing, and validation activities.
- Delivering analytical insights and maintaining documentation that enables self-service reporting and informed decision-making across Finance.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1-5 years of experience in data analytics, financial systems, finance operations, or a related field.
- A Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency with SQL and experience using Python for analytics, automation, or process improvement.
- Experience building dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite, Workday, or comparable platforms.
- Effective communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences, with a willingness to learn emerging technologies, including AI.
