ABOUT THE ROLE We're on a mission to make money work for everyone at Monzo, a leading digital banking platform. As a Senior Financial Crime Business Banking Investigator, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding our ecosystem and customers against sophisticated fraud and money laundering. You'll be part of a specialized team that builds deep subject matter expertise to ensure financial integrity across the entire customer lifecycle. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Financial Crime Business Banking Investigator, you'll take ownership of complex tasks, including Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk businesses, Complex Customer Reviews, and multi-jurisdictional money muling investigations. You'll write, review, and submit high-quality Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the National Crime Agency (NCA). You'll also maintain a regular schedule on core investigative tasks, actively coach Investigators, and work closely with Operations Analysts to share emerging trends and ensure operational guidance is continuously updated. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you'll need deep KYB & AML expertise, with significant experience conducting end-to-end business due diligence (KYB/EDD) and complex investigations within a regulated financial setting. You'll be a skilled researcher, with a proven ability to leverage open-source intelligence and analysis to thoroughly corroborate customer profiles and transactional activity. You'll also possess a strong grasp of UK and international financial crime trends affecting business accounts and the UK SAR regime.
