ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Senior Counsel, Strategic Growth & Technology Partnerships to join our team at Coursera. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's strategic growth and technology partnerships. You will be responsible for providing high-level legal advice to senior executives and teams, driving business growth through strategic partnerships, and navigating complex regulatory landscapes. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Counsel, you will be responsible for: - Providing strategic legal advice to senior executives and teams on business growth, technology partnerships, and regulatory matters - Developing and executing strategic partnerships with key technology companies to drive business growth and innovation - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with business growth and technology partnerships - Negotiating and drafting complex agreements, including partnership agreements, technology licenses, and other commercial contracts - Staying up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to provide expert advice to the business WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school - At least 8 years of experience in a corporate law role, with a focus on technology and strategic partnerships - Proven track record of providing high-level legal advice to senior executives and driving business growth through strategic partnerships - Strong understanding of technology and regulatory landscapes, with the ability to navigate complex issues - Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere and enjoy a better work-life balance.
