Senior Copywriter - Fluent German

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Copywriter fluent in German to join the N26 Creative Studio. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping N26's communication strategy, creating engaging German-language campaign and marketing copy, and contributing English writing when needed. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Copywriter, you'll be responsible for: - Writing clear, engaging German copy across various marketing channels, including social media, paid media, CRM, web, and OOH. - Developing campaign ideas, headlines, and concepts directly in German, showcasing your ability to create original and compelling content. - Adapting and transcreating English campaigns into strong, culturally relevant German communication. - Collaborating closely with localisation to maintain linguistic excellence and a consistent brand voice in German. - Contributing English-language copy when needed, alongside primarily German writing responsibilities. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you'll need: - A recognised qualification within the field of copywriting. - At least 3 years of professional copywriting experience at agencies, start-ups, or companies, ideally for B2C digital or tech products. - Exceptional German writing skills at C2+ level, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality German copywriting craft. - Professional fluency in English, as the Creative Studio collaborates and operates primarily in English. - Strong sense of clarity and brevity, with the ability to simplify complex topics into concise, customer-friendly communication. - Deep understanding of tone of voice and ability to write consistently within a brand system. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with strong proofreading and quality-control skills. - Proven ability to work on-brief, manage feedback constructively, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. WHY REMOTE While the role requires occasional in-office work, the majority of the time can be spent working remotely. This is a hybrid role with 8 days in-office days per month, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance.
