As a Sanctions, Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role in fighting financial crimes and solving complex investigations. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Sanctions, Operations Associate, you will be responsible for conducting investigations, making account-level judgments, and recommendations for regulatory reporting. Your tasks will include: - Conducting screening reviews on merchants as part of Stripe's sanctions program - Analyzing and investigating accounts for exposure to listed persons and high-risk/prohibited jurisdictions - Understanding complex regulatory and compliance requirements within the financial services space - Conducting in-depth open source research to assess sanctions and financial crimes risk - Analyzing complex problems and exercising sound analytical judgment on investigation resolutions or decisions - Performing assignments of high complexity and resolving incoming requests from internal teams or partners - Drafting clear and concise investigative summaries and analyses, including regulatory reports for submission WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - 2+ years of experience in Sanctions roles - Experience conducting in-depth open source research across various information sources - General awareness of money laundering, terrorism financing, and sanctions trends and regulatory developments - Ability to analyze and evaluate information from various data sources to determine a course of action - Excellent English written, spoken, and interpersonal skills - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently - Self-discipline, diligence, proactivity, and attention to detail WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere while being part of a mission-driven team.
