Sales Director

ABOUT THE ROLE Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we're delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for growing and managing our Public Sector customer base, leveraging your hunter mindset and proactive approach to identify new business with prospects and growth opportunities for clients. WHAT YOU'LL DO In this role, you can expect to build, manage, and close your own pipeline of companies that you believe will benefit from the dbt Cloud offering. You will also manage and deepen the dbt Cloud footprint in existing accounts, optimizing our impact on these companies. Additionally, you will engage with technology partners and ecosystem service providers to optimize our impact and reach in the region. You will lead and contribute to team projects that develop our sales process and work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need to have demonstrable ability of building and closing your own pipeline within public sector accounts. You should have 4+ years of closing experience in technology sales, with a proven track record of exceeding annual targets. You should also be able to understand complex technical concepts and develop them into a consultative sale. Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills are required to engage stakeholders at all levels of an analytics organization. Finally, you should have the diligence and organizational skills to work long, intricate sales cycles involving multiple client teams.
