ABOUT THE ROLE Cockroach Labs is building the next generation of resilient, scale‑agnostic databases that power tomorrow’s applications. As a Sales Development Representative based in Singapore, you will be the first line of contact for prospects, driving the top of the funnel for our global sales team. Your work will help shape how enterprises adopt CockroachDB, ensuring that our technology reaches the right customers at the right time. In this role you will combine research, outreach, and technical insight to create high‑quality opportunities that enable our account executives to close deals and grow the business. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will design and execute a multi‑channel outbound strategy, leveraging email, LinkedIn, and AI‑assisted workflows to reach decision‑makers in target accounts. Each week you will research and prioritize prospects using intent signals and engagement data, ensuring that outreach is timely and relevant. You will conduct early‑stage discovery calls, qualifying leads by uncovering business pain points and understanding how prospects’ workloads could benefit from CockroachDB. You will collaborate closely with account executives, sharing account intelligence and ensuring seamless handoffs so no context is lost. Throughout the process you will build technical fluency in our product, translating complex features into clear value propositions. You will track and report on qualified opportunity metrics, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly targets. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You bring at least six months to one year of experience in lead generation or sales development, with a proven track record of meeting or surpassing pipeline goals. You are comfortable working with deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and using data to inform strategy. Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce and lead qualification applications is essential. You have a strong command of AI tools, integrating them into research, drafting, and analysis to accelerate and improve outreach. You possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, and you thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. A BA/BS degree or equivalent in a related field rounds out your profile. Fluency in English and strong written communication are required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
