Anthropic
Safeguards Enforcement Analyst, Ban Evasion & Recidivism
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Safeguards Enforcement Analyst on the account abuse team at Anthropic, you will play a critical role in building and executing enforcement workflows that keep our products safe. Your focus will be on detecting and mitigating potential harm, with an initial emphasis on recidivism – preventing banned actors from returning to our platform. This position may expand into broader areas of enforcement over time, shaping policy enforcement to ensure our users can interact with and build on top of our products in a safe and beneficial way.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Your key responsibilities will include investigating evasion clusters end to end, converting individual findings into durable systemic controls and detection proposals, operationalizing re-registration controls for high-severity ban populations, and partnering with Engineering and Data Science teams on account-linking signals. You will also build the recidivism measurement framework, author playbooks for contractor-supported evasion review, and stay up-to-date with emerging AI policy enforcement best practices.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need experience investigating ban evasion, multi-accounting, or repeat fraud actors at a platform with adversarial users. You should be fluent in SQL and have a comfort level building your own analyses across large account and event datasets. Additionally, you should have experience working with fraud or identity-linking signals and a working understanding of their precision/recall tradeoffs.
WHY REMOTE
As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, while still being part of a collaborative and dynamic team. You will be expected to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, and to navigate rapidly evolving priorities and workstreams.
BENEFITS
The annual compensation range for this role is $245,000 - $285,000 USD. We also offer a minimum education requirement of a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience, and a minimum years of experience requirement that will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position. We sponsor visas and retain an immigration lawyer to help with this process. We encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply, and strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
