RTW Driver

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Road Tanker Wagon (RTW) Driver to join Sol Petroleum (Bahamas) Limited. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading, transportation, and offloading of fuels to various sites in Nassau. This is a critical role that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or incidents to the Transportation Supervisor - Ensure all equipment is available, in good working condition, and properly secured on the vehicle - Complete accurate and detailed Drivers Daily Trip Logs to record loading times, journey times, maintenance times, waiting times, and number of drops - Meet all vehicle loading safety requirements, including bonding, compartment emptying, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage - Complete Safe Discharge Certificates for each delivery and document Unsatisfactory Delivery Conditions Reports for any outlets that fall short of HSSE requirements - Collect cheques at sites, conduct cross-checks, and hand in documents upon return to the depot - Practice defensive driving techniques and achieve zero accidents through safe driving practices - Attend training courses, safety meetings, and participate in incident investigations and analysis - Employ customer care techniques to provide a pleasant and professional delivery experience - Participate in safety audits, assessments, and emergency response drills, including oil spill exercises WHAT YOU'LL NEED - A sound secondary education with basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills - 3-5 years of incident-free driving experience with tractor-trailer and heavy goods vehicles - No drug or alcohol impairments and willingness to accept company random testing policies - Proper grooming and presentation to represent company values and image to customers - Demonstrated enthusiasm and willingness to work well with others in teams - Ability to work in shifts, including night hours, weekends, and holidays, as regulated by local law - Compliance with HSSE and Emergency Codes WHY REMOTE This role is based at Clifton Pier Terminal, New Providence, and requires regular travel to various sites in Nassau. As a RTW Driver, you will be responsible for transporting fuels to these sites while maintaining a safe and efficient delivery process.
