Room Attendant

ABOUT THE ROLE Southworth operates a portfolio of private clubs and communities, including The Abaco Club in the Bahamas. As a Room Attendant you will maintain the cleanliness, order, and presentation of guest rooms, suites, and associated areas, ensuring every accommodation meets the club’s high standards of comfort and hygiene. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will clean and reset guest rooms and suites, dusting, vacuuming, making beds, and replenishing amenities. Bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected, and used towels and linens replaced with fresh items. You will report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to the supervisor promptly. Guest rooms will be stocked with toiletries, water, and club literature, and you will handle guest belongings with care and respect privacy. Deep cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning and high‑dusting will be performed as assigned. All safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of chemicals, will be followed. At the end of each shift you will restock housekeeping carts and closets and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations. WHAT YOU'LL NEED A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is a plus but not required. You must have strong attention to detail, pride in quality workmanship, and the ability to follow instructions and work independently. Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to excellent service are essential. A professional appearance and respectful demeanor are required. You must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks that include standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts as needed is required. WHY REMOTE This position is based at The Abaco Club and is not a remote role.
