WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Residential Real Estate Title Search Quality Control, you will work with our search team to produce and review searches and title reports, determine the legal conditions of properties, and ensure the quality of the final product prior to delivery to our clients. You will also support our Customer Service team by communicating with customers regarding important updates or clarifications, and receiving and responding to order-related inquiries.
Key responsibilities include:
Analyzing completed title searches from our internal searching team for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client-specific standards
Examining, analyzing, and evaluating documentation such as deeds, mortgages, property taxes, and other records to determine ownership and encumbrances
Analyzing and understanding chain of title, and defects in the chain of title, and preparing reports outlining title-related matters
Synthesizing all title search information and preparing property reports and title commitments
Maintaining strong attention to detail while reading and extracting information from documents, and entering that information into reports or software
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1-4 years of experience as a title abstractor/examiner, including online search experience
Familiarity with various state guidelines and searching state, city, county, and school property tax jurisdictions online
Attention to detail in reviewing and entering information and data from source documents resulting in accurate, clear, and professionally formatted title reports
Proficiency in various MS Office tools such as Word and Excel
Familiarity with various title search platforms (Softpro, Qualia, Datatrace, etc.) is helpful but not necessary
Good judgment related to access to confidential borrower data
Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team
Ability to work independently
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment
Ability to work overtime, as necessary, to support and fulfill client timeline requirements
