Monzo
Regulatory Reporting Manager
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Monzo is redefining banking by delivering a frictionless, customer‑first experience across the UK and beyond. As a rapidly expanding fintech, we rely on precise, timely regulatory reporting to maintain trust with regulators, investors and our customers. The Regulatory Reporting Manager will lead the team that translates complex prudential rules into robust, automated reporting processes that support capital, liquidity and financial returns. This role is pivotal to ensuring Monzo’s compliance posture remains strong while enabling the organisation to scale globally.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will proactively scan and interpret UK and EU prudential regulations, translating them into actionable reporting requirements and controls. You will design, implement and maintain automated reporting pipelines in collaboration with engineering and data science teams, ensuring data accuracy, efficiency and on‑time delivery. You will work closely with Treasury, Risk, Data and project stakeholders to resolve ambiguous regulatory requirements and secure consensus on safe outcomes. You will lead governance over the identification, interpretation and implementation of regulatory rules, reviewing all capital, liquidity and financial returns for compliance. You will champion continuous improvement, driving process automation, user acceptance testing and rapid deployment of changes. Finally, you will support Monzo’s expansion plans by ensuring the Regulatory Reporting function remains an enabler for new markets and product launches.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You have a proven track record of operationalising a broad range of regulatory requirements and delivering compliant reporting at scale. You possess deep experience in designing, implementing and testing automated reporting solutions, with a strong grasp of data architecture and quality controls. You are a strategic thinker who can identify improvement opportunities, propose dynamic solutions and implement them quickly and safely. You bring excellent planning, organisation and time‑management skills, and you have led and coached high‑performing teams with empathy and clarity. You are numerically astute, detail‑oriented and comfortable navigating complex regulatory frameworks. You thrive in a fast‑paced, remote environment and are self‑motivated, hands‑on and passionate about leveraging technology to drive continuous process improvement.
WHY REMOTE
Monzo embraces a distributed, asynchronous culture that empowers employees to work from anywhere in the UK while maintaining strong collaboration through digital tools and regular virtual touchpoints. Our remote model offers flexible working hours, enabling you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments. You will be part of a dynamic, inclusive team that values diverse perspectives and encourages open communication, regardless of location. The remote environment also supports rapid innovation, as teams can focus on high‑impact work without the constraints of a traditional office.
BENEFITS
Competitive salary plus performance‑linked incentive awards; comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage; generous paid time off and flexible holiday policy; a monthly remote work stipend; a dedicated learning budget for courses, certifications and conferences; access to wellness programmes and mental health support; and a culture that celebrates achievements, fosters growth and rewards collaboration.
