ABOUT THE ROLE Edspired.Tech is building the next generation of construction technology solutions that empower project teams to deliver complex commercial developments faster and more cost‑effectively. We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic, distributed team and support the execution of a flagship commercial hotel project in the Andhra Pradesh region. The role blends deep technical expertise with strategic cost‑control insights, enabling the project to stay on budget while meeting the highest quality standards. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will prepare and review bill of quantities, perform detailed quantity take‑offs from architectural, structural and MEP drawings, and conduct regular site measurements to ensure data accuracy. You will manage the entire billing cycle, verifying contractor and subcontractor invoices against actual measurements, and prepare client and RA bills for timely submission. Your responsibilities will include rate analysis for civil, structural and finishing items, monitoring project quantities against the BOQ, and identifying variations. You will maintain variation statements, extra item documentation and deviation statements, track project costs, and reconcile key material quantities such as cement, steel and concrete. Collaboration with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Planning, Purchase and Accounts teams will be essential to keep the project on schedule and within budget. You will also support commercial negotiations with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring all billing and measurement documentation is accurate and submitted on time. WHAT YOU'LL NEED A minimum of five years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor or QS Engineer in civil/building construction, with a strong background in commercial hotel, high‑rise or large‑scale building projects. You hold a Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification. You possess advanced skills in BOQ preparation, quantity take‑off, measurement, and billing, and are proficient in Excel and QS software. You have a proven track record of managing subcontractor and client billing, handling variation orders, and reconciling material quantities. Your analytical and numerical skills are sharp, and you can work independently while coordinating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
