Professional Services Consultant

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Professional Services Consultant at Pendo, you will play a critical role in helping customers transform their operations and achieve meaningful business outcomes through the implementation, adoption, and scaling of Pendo's platform. You will lead customer engagements from onboarding through value realization, aligning Pendo to business goals, implementing high-value use cases, and establishing the foundations for long-term success. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Professional Services Consultant, you will be responsible for leading customer onboarding and implementation, use case discovery, product enablement and best practices, custom services delivery, project ownership and delivery management, customer relationship management, and driving measurable business results tied to customer goals. You will work closely with customers to understand their business needs, identify and prioritize high-value use cases, and develop implementation approaches that connect Pendo capabilities to desired outcomes. You will also contribute to the overall Professional Services practice by improving playbooks, sharing expertise, mentoring teammates, and bringing customer insights back into the business. Your goal will be to deliver projects on time, within scope, and with high customer satisfaction, while balancing speed, quality, and customer confidence. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need 3+ years of experience in consulting, implementation, customer success, professional services, or a customer-facing SaaS role. You will also need experience leading customer engagements, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and maintaining quality, customer satisfaction, scope, and delivery timelines. Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills are essential, as well as the ability to translate customer goals, challenges, and success metrics into practical implementation approaches. You will also need foundational to intermediate proficiency in CSS and HTML, with the ability to contribute to technical solutions such as in-app tagging, Pendo installation, and guide building. Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Node.js, with the ability to write production-quality backend code, is also required. Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures is a plus.
