Product Manager of AI Applications, Global Public Sector

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager of AI Applications to join our Global Public Sector team at Scale. As a key member of this rapidly growing team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and cutting-edge projects that leverage our customers' proprietary data and expertise to transform their organizations with AI.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Product Manager of AI Applications, you will be responsible for developing and leading the ideation and development of transformative AI solutions for our customers in the global public sector. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing custom AI applications that leverage our customers' proprietary data and expertise
- Building custom Large Language Models (LLMs) and providing high-quality training data for research and government institutions building LLMs
- Developing partnerships to foster regional talent growth and AI adoption
- Leading cross-functional teams of engineers, machine learning engineers, and operators to build highly impactful solutions for our customers
- Collaborating with customers to define custom AI solutions and scope out new AI application use cases across various government entities
- Consistently engaging with future end-users to solicit feedback and ensure effective prioritization
- Staying up to date with the latest research in applied AI and training custom LLMs
- Scoping out model evaluation sets and performance requirements, reviewing results, and iterating on the solution
- Providing regular progress updates to the client and Global Public Sector leadership
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 4+ years of experience building products with specific experience within the last 1-2 years building AI-powered products
- A strong technical background (STEM degree) and/or experience building technical software products
- A strong understanding of generative AI technologies and their applications in both enterprise and consumer settings
- Experience with coding tools (e.g., Replit, Lovable, Bolt) and design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva, Miro)
- Exceptional leadership, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
