Stripe
Product Manager, Identity & Access Management
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Stripe is building the world’s most trusted financial infrastructure, and the Identity & Access Management team sits at the heart of that ecosystem. As a Product Manager in IAM, you will own the vision and roadmap for how every principal—human, AI agent, or third‑party app—gains secure, fine‑grained access to a Stripe account. Your work will shape the experience for founders, administrators, and developers across the Dashboard, API, CLI, and MCP, ensuring that security, usability, and scalability coexist seamlessly.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will design the end‑to‑end experience of granting access, from signing up and inviting teammates to creating API keys and authorizing AI agents. You will define a first‑class citizen model for agents, setting authentication methods, permissions, and human‑in‑the‑loop checkpoints that become the industry standard. You will champion least‑privilege principles by building custom roles, smart permission defaults, and usage‑based recommendations that make secure choices obvious. You will push the transition to secretless authentication, making Workload Identity Federation the default for developers. You will collaborate across Dashboard, API Platform, Security, Payments, and Money Movement, pitching ambitious ideas and rallying cross‑functional teams that do not report to you. You will iterate quickly, running experiments, analyzing real usage data, and refining features to deliver immediate value.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You bring at least five years of product management experience delivering platform or infrastructure products that other teams rely on. You have a deep background in security, identity, authentication, or developer platforms, or a proven curiosity that drives you to master those domains. You are a user‑centric thinker who digs into real problems rather than surface complaints. You possess strong technical fluency, enabling deep collaboration with engineers on authorization and authentication design. You favor experimentation over monolithic launches, iterating based on data and feedback. You thrive in ambiguous spaces, setting direction and aligning diverse stakeholders without direct authority.
WHY REMOTE
Stripe’s distributed culture is built on asynchronous collaboration, giving teams the freedom to work in the hours that best match their productivity rhythms. Remote employees enjoy a flexible schedule that supports work–life balance while maintaining high performance and rapid delivery. Our global network of product, engineering, and design teams shares knowledge through regular virtual syncs, ensuring that distance never hinders innovation or career growth.
