Product Attorney

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Product Attorney to join our Legal team at Fivetran. As a Product Attorney, you will play a critical role in providing practical, solution-oriented legal advice throughout the product-development lifecycle, helping teams navigate complex issues while moving quickly and thoughtfully. This role will partner closely with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Privacy, and GTM functions to support innovation, manage risk, and enable the next generation of data and analytics solutions. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Product Attorney, you will be responsible for advising Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders on legal issues throughout the product development lifecycle. This will include reviewing and assessing new products, features, and initiatives, providing timely, business-oriented legal guidance that balances risk management with innovation and execution speed. You will also counsel teams on intellectual property, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory considerations affecting company products. Additionally, you will develop scalable legal guidance, policies, playbooks, and training materials that empower teams to make informed decisions. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need strong legal judgment, sound business instincts, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving technical environment. You will need to translate complex legal issues into practical guidance that helps stakeholders make informed decisions.
