ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Procurement Officer to join our team as a key player in managing the procurement process, ensuring stock availability, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role requires a proactive individual with strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with sales and retail teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process to ensure stock availability aligns with sales demands. This will involve liaising regularly with the Sales Manager and Retail Supervisor to forecast needs and plan inventory, sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality, and monitoring stock levels to coordinate timely replenishment. You will also be required to maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier details, and inventory levels, work closely with the sales team to identify popular products and adjust procurement strategies accordingly, and stay informed about industry trends, new products, and supplier developments.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need strong proficiency with MS Dynamics or similar ERP systems, proven experience in procurement, inventory management, or retail purchasing, and strong communication and negotiation skills. You will also need the ability to work collaboratively with sales and retail teams, excellent organisational and analytical abilities, and proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.
