WHAT YOU’LL DO - Lead the design and implementation of AI‑enhanced DevOps workflows, including predictive analytics for pipeline failures, automated code quality checks, and intelligent resource allocation. - Serve as the technical authority on core GitLab CI/CD architecture, Kubernetes integration, and cloud‑native infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. - Mentor cross‑functional teams on best practices for MLOps, observability, and data‑driven decision making, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. - Collaborate with product managers to define AI feature roadmaps, translate user stories into technical specifications, and prioritize backlog items that maximize impact. - Represent GitLab at industry events, conferences, and in technical forums, positioning the company as a thought leader in AI‑powered DevOps. - Drive the adoption of emerging technologies such as serverless, edge computing, and reinforcement learning within the GitLab ecosystem, evaluating trade‑offs and guiding architectural decisions. WHAT YOU’LL NEED - 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years focused on DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud‑native platforms. - Deep expertise in AI/ML operations, including model training pipelines, inference serving, and data pipeline orchestration. - Proficiency with Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Helm, and major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure). - Proven track record of delivering complex, high‑scale systems that serve millions of concurrent users. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into robust, maintainable architectures. - Excellent communication and influence skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to both engineering and non‑technical stakeholders.
