ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a skilled Porter to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to transport patients, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently throughout the hospital. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Porter, your key responsibilities will include: - Transporting patients, equipment, and supplies between departments and wards - Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff - Assisting with the movement of patients, including those with mobility issues - Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to meet the needs of patients - Maintaining accurate records of patient movements and equipment usage WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will require: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Physical stamina to perform the demands of the role - Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures - Ability to work as part of a team to achieve shared goals WHY REMOTE This role is not suitable for remote work, as it requires the presence of the individual at the healthcare facility to perform the duties associated with the position.
