ABOUT THE ROLE At the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, the Polisher is a key contributor to the brand’s commitment to impeccable luxury. You will ensure that every surface—from marble floors to polished furnishings—reflects the high standards that guests expect when they step into a Hilton property. Your work will directly enhance the visual experience of our guests, creating an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication that defines the Waldorf Astoria experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will apply polishing paints and coatings to a variety of surfaces, preparing them by cleaning, sanding, and buffing to achieve optimal adhesion. You will select appropriate finishes based on surface type, usage, and desired appearance, and you will use brushes, rollers, sprayers, and polishing machines safely and effectively. You will inspect finished surfaces for quality, touch up imperfections, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. You will coordinate with engineering supervisors and other maintenance staff to schedule and prioritize polishing projects, keeping accurate records of materials used and project progress. You will stay current on new polishing techniques, materials, and equipment to continuously improve efficiency and quality. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You bring proven experience in polishing, with a deep understanding of techniques for different surfaces. You are proficient with hand tools and power tools relevant to polishing work and have a strong attention to detail that delivers high‑quality finishes. You possess excellent problem‑solving skills and can work independently or as part of a collaborative team. You hold a Painting and Decorating Certificate and have completed manufacturer training and hazardous materials handling certification. CPR or First Aid training is an advantage. You communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues, and you are comfortable following safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
