ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Podcaster and Content Creator to join our team at Psychology Today. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new interview-style podcast from the ground up, with creative latitude to develop the show's tone, style, and growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for exploring psychology, behavioral science, and culture, and will be able to develop, schedule, and lead engaging conversations with guests.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the podcaster and content creator, you will be responsible for:
- Researching topics, preparing questions, and planning/outing episodes
- Bringing sharp editorial judgment and creative initiative to pitch and shape new episode ideas and formats
- Identifying, researching, and booking guests (bloggers, subject-matter experts, researchers)
- Preparing for each episode, including background research, question development, and brief pre-interview calls with guests
- Maintaining an organized and visible guest pipeline/calendar
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated podcasting experience, with a portfolio of platforms, shows, or projects you've built, hosted, or produced
- Strong writing and editing fundamentals, with familiarity with SEO and content management systems
- Comfort and engagement on camera/mic
- A background in behavioral science, translational science writing, or clinical/research psychology is a strong plus; an individual with strong journalistic experience is also welcome to apply

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere and collaborate with our team.
BENEFITS
- Contract position with a monthly salary of $2,000, based on a weekly episode cadence of 4 episodes/month, plus ongoing guest-booking responsibilities.
