ABOUT THE ROLE Platypus Shoes Hornsby seeks a Store Manager to lead a dedicated team of casual staff and an Assistant Store Manager. The role focuses on driving sales, achieving key performance indicators, and delivering an exceptional customer experience in a high‑profile retail setting. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will oversee the overall performance of the store, ensuring sales targets and KPIs are met while maintaining visual merchandising standards. Your responsibilities include motivating the team to achieve outstanding sales and service results, monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly sales data, and celebrating successes while identifying improvement opportunities. You will manage rosters and wage costs in alignment with company objectives, coach and develop team members, and plan succession. Additionally, you will maintain stock levels, store presentation, and operational excellence, and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. WHAT YOU'LL NEED A proven track record as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a high‑volume retail environment. Strong leadership skills with a results‑focused, proactive mindset are essential. Excellent communication and team‑development abilities are required, along with a demonstrated capacity to drive sales and manage store performance. Experience in stock management, operations, and visual merchandising is necessary, and a passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience is expected.
