Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Physician - Virtual Urgent Care to join our urgent care team at Oscar. As a physician with a passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate care, you will provide virtual urgent care to Oscar Health Insurance members within designated Oscar states. You will work closely with our team to provide evidence-based care to patients using audio, video, and written forms of communication. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Physician - Virtual Urgent Care, your responsibilities will include: - Providing high-quality care for patients in a virtual setting - Collaborating with Physicians and/or Advanced Practice Leads on the Care Team as needed when working with complex patients - Following up on labs, imaging, and closed-loop communication with patients and other providers as needed - Utilizing tooling to allow virtual "exams" including remote home monitoring equipment, remote physical exam, and remote point-of-care diagnostics - Participating in collaborative care models with various care team members, including registered nurses, medical assistants, PCPs, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical supervisors - Participating in required meetings to support patient care, including huddles, case conferencing, and regular service line All Hands - Providing feedback to support improvement in operational workflows and product features - Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations - Performing other duties as assigned WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited program - Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ER), Family Medicine (FM), or Internal Medicine (IM) - At least 3 years of experience in outpatient urgent care or emergency department settings - At least 2 years of experience delivering virtual care/telemedicine - A valid medical license in Tennessee and Florida, and active membership in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) - Willingness to obtain additional licensure in additional states with our assistance - A compact license from the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission (IMLCC) or eligibility for a compact license WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from home and contribute to our mission to change healthcare.
