Dropbox
People Partner, G&A
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Dropbox is a global leader in cloud storage and collaboration, and our People team is essential to sustaining that innovation. As a People Partner, G&A, you will be a trusted advisor to leaders and employees across the organization, ensuring that our workforce is engaged, high‑performing, and aligned with Dropbox’s values. You will work closely with HR Business Partners, Legal, and the broader People organization to shape policies, processes, and experiences that drive talent density and organizational health in a distributed environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will coach managers through performance management cycles, providing guidance that is fair, principled, and consistent with our standards. You will analyze people data—including attrition, performance, and engagement metrics—to uncover trends and recommend actionable insights for leadership. Applying product‑management and design‑thinking principles, you will design and iterate employee‑experience initiatives that meet evolving needs. You will partner cross‑functionally with HRBPs, Legal, and other stakeholders to navigate complex employee matters and enhance the overall employee journey. Your influence will extend to shaping policies and practices that support a high‑density, high‑performance culture. You will deliver clear, candid guidance on sensitive issues, balancing empathy for employees with business priorities, and you will independently manage competing priorities in a virtual‑first organization.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You bring eight or more years of HR or Employee Relations experience, with at least three years supporting managers and employees through performance management. You have a proven track record of handling complex employee relations matters with sound judgment and discretion. Your critical thinking, problem‑solving, and ability to navigate nuanced situations are complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills that adapt to diverse audiences. You are comfortable dealing with sensitive, confidential information and have a demonstrated ability to influence leaders and stakeholders without formal authority. Your experience includes leveraging data to inform decisions, driving people‑centric initiatives, and collaborating effectively across distributed teams.
WHY REMOTE
Dropbox’s remote‑first culture empowers employees to work from anywhere while maintaining a strong sense of community and collaboration. Our asynchronous communication framework and flexible scheduling model allow you to balance personal and professional commitments while delivering high‑impact results. The distributed nature of our workforce fosters diverse perspectives, continuous learning, and a global mindset that enriches our people practices. You will have the autonomy to shape your workday, supported by a culture that values outcomes over hours and encourages proactive engagement across time zones.
BENEFITS
Dropbox offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes top‑tier health, dental, and vision coverage, a competitive retirement plan, and generous paid time off that scales with tenure. Employees receive a remote‑work stipend to optimize their home office setup, a learning and development budget for courses, certifications, and conferences, and access to wellness programs and mental‑health resources. In addition, we provide equity opportunities, a robust parental leave policy, and a supportive environment that prioritizes work‑life integration and professional growth.
