Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced People Partner to support our Japan, APAC, and global teams. This strategic role will deliver partnership with leadership to create and execute people strategies that accelerate business objectives and enable our teams to operate effectively with minimal friction. The successful candidate will balance local expertise across Japan and the broader APAC region with a global mindset, ensuring our talent strategies are deeply integrated into the fabric of the global business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a People Partner, you will drive strategic thought partnership, consult and advise functional leads and leadership teams, lead change management, navigate ambiguity, manage cross-functional programs, leverage data literacy, and influence at scale. Key responsibilities include:
- Building and implementing department-level talent strategy initiatives that align directly with business outcomes
- Establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to functional leads and leadership teams across Japan, APAC, and globally
- Partnering with senior leaders to develop scalable change strategies and drive needed initiatives
- Identifying root issues and operational needs in complex situations and presenting pragmatic findings to senior stakeholders
- Collaborating closely with the International People Partner Leader, global People Partners, and Centers of Excellence to lead the execution of core people programs
- Interpreting complex people data to identify trends and translate findings into actionable decisions
- Actively participating in business headcount and strategic planning forums to ensure talent strategy is integrated into the business fabric
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Experience as a strategic People Partner or Human Resources Business Partner
- Strong partnership skills and ability to build trust with leadership teams
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive change management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable decisions
- Experience working in a global or international environment
- Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance people strategies
WHY REMOTE
This role is designed to be a hybrid position, with a mix of in-office and remote work. The standard in-office days are Tuesday and Thursday, with an additional day of choice, which may be determined by your team. Most days, you will work from home on the two other weekdays.
